| Yeah! I have my computer now!!!! The desktop, not the laptop. So, what's new? It's finals week next week ! And this week is supposed to be dead week (nothing due). It's more like "undead" week though... This comic says it all in this cartoon . Yah, so by 6 pm tonight I have to have an online quiz done in Physics, I've got a final in Rigid Body Mecahnics tomorrow, and I had a final in Engineering Computing yesterday. Well, I guess it's not so bad. Engineering Computing and Rigid Body Mechanics are both night classes which means my finals ARE during dead week for both. So, next Monday I have a final in Calculus at 1:30, Wednesday I have a final in Organic Chemistry at 8:00 (AM ), and Thursday I have a Physics final at 1:30. And... well then I'm done.
So, my classes stand as thus for next semester: MWF 12:30-1:30 Calculus/Analytical Geometry IV MATH 2443-002 MWF 1:30- 2:20 Organic Chemistry II CHEM 3153-002 MWF 3:30- 4:20 Thermodynamics ENGR 2213-001 TR 12:00-1:15 Intro to Philosophy PHIL 1013-006 TR 1:30- 4:20 Organic Chemistry Lab (Lab) CHEM 3152-017 T 4:30- 5:20 Organic Chemistry Lab (Discussion) CHEM 3152-001
Okay, so yah... My evil ex is calling me...Ok, she's off the phone... Yah, well I can't think of anything else to say... I love my girlfriend so much! Love you corinne

| So this is my first journal entry in a LONG time. The main reason it's taken me so long to update is because I am STILL sans computer . It's taken WAY to long to get one! I'm still waiting for Isaac to do anything with the money I gave him for making me a desktop and my laptop is finally fixed, but I can't pay to pick it up yet! So... I think this is probably my first post for this semester. Lemme give a brief rundown... Business, class, fraternity, etc.
Class has been ok. I had to drop Chemical Engineering Fundamentals because I didn't have time for it. Since I did that, grades have gone up significantly in my other classes! I'll just take it next year. That's the good part; I can retake it and I'm doing better. The bad part is that it pushes me back a year to do that. Oh well, it's very common to take five years in an engineering degree, especially chemical. As far as my other classes go, Physics is a bunch of b.s. about magnetism, electric currents and thermodynamics (the current subject), we're dealing a lot with series (taylor and maclaurin right now) in calculus which is really easy, engineering computer we're breaking down calculus and writing a program for it, rigid body mechanics is internal stress, shear, momentum and their diagrams and organic chemistry is elimination and substitution reactions. Ooh! And I'm enrolled for next semester too! Next semester I'm taking:
Chem 3153, Organic Chemistry 2; Chem 3152 Organic Chem Lab; Engr 2213 Thermodynamics; Math 2443 Calculus and Analytical Geometry IV; and Phil 1013 Intro to Philosophy. I like it... It puts me right on schedule and I get to take a class (Phil 1013) with my beautiful girlfriend, which meh likes.
I've seen a lot of movies lately... Matrix Revolutions, well I'm still not sure what to think of that. As far as I can tell, I don't like it as much as the first two, but I know I need to see it quite a few more times to really decide that. I saw Love Actually the other day with Corinne--it's great! And, on tonight's date, Corinne and I saw Elf, which is a very good movie, too, though somewhat generic. I know I've seen more, but that's all I can remember for now.
Things are going very well with Corinne. Communication seems to slowly be improving between us, which, in my opinion, is the pinnacle to any successful relationship. I'm very happy with Corinne and wouldn't give her up for anything!
Family life is going well... I just really wish I could devote much more time to it... I'm going to leave it at that for now... It's kinda a sore subject with me right now...
Fraternity life is going well. I was on 3 committees, Recruitment, Philanthropy, and Events, but I'm going to drop off of Recreuitment because I don't have time for that much work. I'm really enjoying Philanthropy Committee... Recently, we had elections for the 2004 officers. As of yet, only 4 positions have been filled, President Jamie Teeter, Recording Secretary Zac Privott, Historian Patrick Kirk, and Treasurer Greg Easly. The unfilled positions include Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Messenger, Seargent-at-Arms, and Chaplain. With the only exception of Seargent-at-Arms, the positions were not filled because we were just that divided in who everyone was voting for--no one got the required amount of votes for any of these offices. I was actually running for Messenger, but due to the extreme difficulty in the last election caused by being a candidate (I took votes from other people), I'm not running for that position until next semester. Other than that... heh, Philanthropy Committee is what I'm willing to give most of my time to. Lately, I've had a lot more respect for the Philanthropy chairman, Lorence. He's really a great guy and he's becoming a great friend (well, I could say that of any brother, but just more Lorence lately).
Music releases have been great lately. New releases that I've purchased (or will purchase) include "Seasons" by Sevendust (great album, though quite a change from their first too--not too far off from "Animosity"), "Self-Destructive Patterns" by Spineshank (awesome album), "XIII" by Mushroomhead (BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR!), a new release from Professional Murder Music which I am REALLY looking forward to, a new release from Static-X which I'll get eventually and "Music for the Massive" by Apartment 26, which I may or may not get in the end. Speaking of Mushroomhead (yes, I mentioned them earlier! ), they're playing here the 29th!!!! I'm so happy and I AM going to see them, no matter what!!! This will be the BEST concert I've ever been to (sans Corinne). We're also going to go see (planning on it) the All-American Rejects with Something Corporate (good--saw them with 311), Blue October (Yech!), and Headroom (who?)... Oh, I must mention my Christmas music as well... I've bought three Christmas albums as of yet .
Song of the Day: "Destroy the World Around Me" by Mushroomhead. This is an extreme, emotion-provoking (I don't really want to call it "emotional", so emotion-provoking is best) track that lasts all of 9 minutes! It involves many twists and keeps you entertained the whole way through.
That's all for now kiddos...
| Right, so Corinne just informed me that the last entry wasn't long enough. So, I'll add some more. How about I tell about Corinne visiting here!?
Corinne flew in. She met everyone. We had a huge $100 dinner that I made here. It was great. We had 6 cheese manicotti, spinach and walnut potatoes, a huge salad, then we had these crepes for dessert with a chocolate spread on top, raspberry cream topping and home made whipped cream. Then we did lots and lots and lots and lots of stuff. We went out to dinner a few times. Once to Iguana, once to Zios, 3 times to Chiles and we had plenty of fast food. Corinne discovered she likes our super-Walmarts. We went shopping a bunch. Much like a married couple might go shopping <3. We saw a few movies as well, like 28 Days Later, Pirates of the Carribean, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and something else. We also went to the 311/Something Corporate concert. We had a little to drink a couple times also. We also went to OU once or twice and covered about 1/2 the city driving over the course of when she was here.
Anyways, what I learned when Corinne was here is that I love her so very much. I can't go on the rest of my life without her. I'm stuck with her and not because she won't let me go, but because I don't want her to go. I've got 3 weeks to wait for her to come back, though, and then we're set! Oh, and we officially, double-checked, made it official. We ARE boyfriend/girlfriend now.
Oh, and earlier I forgot to mention class is over. I probably got a B, but I haven't checked yet.
All for now, bye! | | |
| So, more than a month in a half later, I update my Journal. I got a job, my last day is in 4 days, I'm taking 2 weeks off, Corinne visited for 4 weeks and that rocked then she left and here I am.
That's about it (it's a lot).

| Yup, so here I am... back in hell. I mean, back in Oklahoma. Away from my girl... it sucks. I wish Corinne were here... dang...
Well, we had such a great time when I visited! We got to do almost all that we wanted to! Almost... we didn't get to go to disneyland. Oh well, next time! Lessee... the first day, Thursday, was great! First, we went to Pier 39 at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and had an overpriced dinner. It was good though and the view was great! After all, I had a beautiful girl to stare at... Then we walked around Pier 39 and rode on a carousel (very romantic)... and did other things too... Then we got to her house at about 1:30. The next day we went out... and... yah... just hung out . Then later we went to her house and I met her family! That was scary at first, but it turned out they were all cool! That night we watched Crazy/Beautiful and Orange County (both were surprisingly good!) Then the next day (it's Saturday by now) we went to Pismo Beach! Save the drive back, that had to be one of the best days of my life! My gosh... just too much... at first, we sat on a bench on a pier and mainly I was trying to keep her warm! Then we went back to her car and got a blanket... and layed down on the blanket, under her towel and talked and made out for probably an hour. Then (actually, this mighta happened before lying down...) we went back up and went in a thrift store where she got a shirt and post card of Betty Page (cuz Corinne has her haircut like Betty Page). Then we went to eat. We both got Clam Chowder (that was SOOOO good!) and shared this coffee ice cream dessert thing. Then we went to this game place and we played 3 games of pool and 2 of air hockey... Unfortunately, I beat her at every single one... I shouldn't have done that :-/. And last, we walked on the beach at the waves (cooooold water!) and watched the sunset. Then we drove back! When we got back we watched Romeo and Juliet. She fell asleep half way through it though... She really looks so calm when she sleeps . We were supposed to go to Disneyland on Sunday but at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning we're both like "screw it, later" so we both slept in. Sunday was just a calm day. We went to the theatres to see Wrong Turn. This movie is a cross between Surviving the Game, Scream and The People Under the Stairs. However, unlike these 3 movies, it's not as original and therefore, I'm slapping a big "WARNING: CONTAINS GENERIC, UNORIGINAL, AND/OR OVERUSED MATERIAL. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!" label on the movie title (as a review). But, it was cool to get to see it with Corinne. Later that night we watched Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon. Then we swam until 3 in the morning in her pool. That was fun (and provided us with much make-out time!). Overall, on a scale of 1-10, I'd give this trip a 9.8! It was worth every minute of being there, and thanks to this trip, I feel so close to Corinne now, that I'm completely confident we'll be together for a loooooong time (email me now ou want to be invited to the wedding! haha, j/k. actually... given a few years together, ya never know! <3). I'm really glad that we got to talk about things. I've thought that we might have some communication problems because I talk A LOT more than she does. But, as it turns out, we'll be just fine! We discovered that we can talk openly about anything, we DO talk enough to be solid in a relationship, and the only reason I talk a lot more is because I just talk about a bunch of weird, out-of-the-blue, and (sometimes) philosophical things that she doesn't doesn't want to/know how to respond to. And we're both just fine with that!
So, a 9.8 out of 10. To put it in perspective, here are how some of my other major trips have scored on this same scale:
1. 1st band trip to San Antonio (1999): 8.9
2. Band trip to Chicago (2000): 9.2
3. 2nd band trip to San Antonio (2001): 9.0
4. Band trip to Dallas (2002): 7.8
5. Trip to Europe (2000): 9.8
6. 1st trip to Galveston, with my Dad only (1994): 9.3
7. Trip to Galveston/Mexico with family (1996): 8.4
8. Trip to Steamboat Springs, CO (1999): 9.1
9. 1st trip to Denver (1993ish): 5.9
10. 1st trip to see Corinne (2003): 9.7
11. Trip to North Carolina (1998): 7.7
12. Trip to Cincinnati (1999): 8.1
13. First trip to Robbers Cave State Park (1995): 8.3
14. Trip to Albequerque balloon festival (1990ish): 8.5
So, that about sums it up. That trip is one of the best of my life and ranks up there with some of the most memorable moments in my life.
Anyways, that thunder, lightning and rain tell me it's time to sign off! Til later....!
